Triple Waterfalls into Pool Below

Triple Waterfalls into Pool Below

A triple waterfall spurts from the cliffs wherever it can find an outlet. It flows into a beautiful pool below, with red rocks and cool green water.

In northern Montana, there is a place of gorgeous red rock. Rivers in this area are so striking, with the juxtaposition of cool colored water and warm toned rocks.

In this painting, I heightened the effect, so that you can feel what it was like to be standing in this wondrous place, seeing the crazy angles of the split waterfall following three different outlets to fall into the pool below.

I hope I did it justice.

“Wild Horses … couldn’t drag me away…”
What an amazing sight to see horses running freely on the range. The sounds of the pounding hoofs, the nickers and neighing to each other. A tight formation of smooth-muscled animals, displaying both grace and power. Oh, what beauty!

A brick and stone walkway lead you into a garden nicely decorated with antiques

A brick and stone walkway lead you into a garden nicely decorated with antiques.

While visiting Cape Cod one summer, I found this cute little antique store. I ended up spending so much time wandering their gardens (with their permission, of course!), that I ran out of time that day and had to come back another day just to go into the Antique Shop! It was so kind of them to let me wander the grounds, photographing my little heart out. This corner garden, with the red building as a backdrop, just begged to be a painting, instead.

Patriotic Island Home

Island home with palm trees and bushes, and a prominent American flag hanging. This little island home caught my eye. I loved the combination of elements- the hanging fishing buoys, the bicycle with the woven basket, the palm trees and bushes, the steps, the lamp, and the patriotic American flag being lit up so nicely by the shining sun. A cottage with personality – the kind you’d love to spend some time in.

corner garden in summer

A walkway and a fence add structure to a wispy corner garden in summer blooms.

In Deerfield, Massachusetts, I stumbled upon this pretty little corner garden in the historic district.

The scene drew me in with it’s angles and shapes, counter balanced by the wispy flowers.

Another combination of nature and man-made structures that blend well together.

Peaceful little garden

A pair of wrought iron chairs await you in a peaceful little garden, watched over by a quaint birdhouse.

A well-tended corner garden, with a pair of wrought iron chairs beckoning you to sit for a spell.
Stepping stones guide your path in through the greenery.

A quaint birdhouse overlooks the sitting area. The way the chairs are stationed in the garden, it looks to me like the people who would occupy the chairs are on display for the birds in the birdhouse, rather than the other way around! I like that thought.
