A brick and stone walkway lead you into a garden nicely decorated with antiques.

 While visiting Cape Cod one summer, I found this cute little antique store. I ended up spending so much time wandering their gardens (with their permission, of course!), that I ran out of time that day and had to come back another day just to go into the Antique Shop! It was so kind of them to let me wander the grounds, photographing my little heart out. This corner garden, with the red building as a backdrop, just begged to be a painting, instead.

A walkway and a fence add structure to a wispy corner garden in summer blooms.


In Deerfield, Massachusetts, I stumbled upon this pretty little corner garden in the historic district.

The scene drew me in with it’s angles and shapes, counter balanced by the wispy flowers.

Another combination of nature and man-made structures that blend well together.

Peaceful little garden

A pair of wrought iron chairs await you in a peaceful little garden, watched over by a quaint birdhouse.


A well-tended corner garden, with a pair of wrought iron chairs beckoning you to sit for a spell.
Stepping stones guide your path in through the greenery.

A quaint birdhouse overlooks the sitting area. The way the chairs are stationed in the garden, it looks to me like the people who would occupy the chairs are on display for the birds in the birdhouse, rather than the other way around! I like that thought.
