HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Here is my challenge to myself for this year, you could call it my “New Year’s Resolution”… 100 days to paint 100 paintings.

You are welcome to join me on this journey, as an observer, or as a participant – doing your own challenge.

Here are the rules I am setting for myself (feel free to alter them for your own personal challenge);

I do not have to do a painting EVERY day, as we all know life gets in the way.
Some days I may do three or four paintings, some days just one, some days I may not make it into the studio at all!
By the end of the 100 days, however, I want to have 100 new completed paintings.
Two drastically different versions based on the same original theme is permissible.
Finishing a painting that I had started, got stuck on, and “tucked away” counts as a new completed painting.
Posting a painting “for now”, with the idea of resolving it further sometime in the future, also counts.

I may not be able to post them here daily, but promise to try for at least weekly updates.

My goals are to work on a few series I have in mind, to get more intimately familiar with my painting tools, and to try out some new techniques.

Wish me luck, and if you try the challenge for yourself, drop me a line to let me know how it fares for you!
